Nepali Congress (NC) acting President Ram Chandra Poudel today congratulated party newly elected President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
“I wish for your successful term as newly elected party president, while working in favour of the party, country and people without being least deviated from the party’s ideals, ideology and the politics of principles,” read the statement issued by Poudel today.
The statement said that the responsibility of concluding the NC 13th General Convention fell upon him and that vote counting was underway after it concluded successfully.
Poudel also thanked well-wishers and those convention representatives including from foreign countries for voting for him in the elections, stating that the convention was concluded through the democratic process and has added a new dimension for the development of democracy in the country.
According to the statement, he also thanked all party cadres and those people, who helped conclude the convention, urging all to move ahead with politics based on principle. RSS
