Robbers who broke into the shop and the house of Devendra Shrestha at Jaleshwar Municipality-4 last night decamped with goods and valuables worth more than Rs 500 thousand.
The robbers stole Rs 200 thousand in cash, six tolas gold and 30 tolas silver ornaments from the three-storey house, the District Police Office, Mahottari said.
It is said Shrestha has left with his family for a pilgrimage to Manakamana in Gorakha district and there was nobody living in the house since then. The robbers broke into the house by breaking the padlock at the main gate. RSS
