The Supreme Court has issued an order to the government to postpone the expansion of road from Chobhar to Dakshinkali till August 21.
A bench of Justice Deepak Raj Joshi issued the interim order reasoning that the road expansion would destroy numerous structures, said Joint Spokesperson of the SC, Bishworaj Poudel.
Similarly, the concerned stakeholders are invited to the court for discussion on August 21.
The interim order came in response to a writ petition filed by as many as 34 persons including a local Pampha Devi Basnet, demanding to stop the road expansion.
