A parked truck has been torched at Pragatinagar in Devchuli of Nawalparasi district early this morning.
Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Nawalpur, Hari Baruwal, said that the truck (Ga 1 Kha 4111) was torched at 1:00 am. The truck was heading towards Pokhara carrying noodles belonging to Chaudhary Group.
Investigation into the case was underway, said police. Property worth Rs 2.4 million was gutted in the incident.
Shutdown demanding declaration of Hindu nation
Meanwhile, normal life in three districts– Nawalparasi, Chitwan and Rupandehi- has been affected due to the banda (shutdown) organized by the Hindu Rastra Bachau Abhiyan demanding declaring Nepal a Hindu nation by removing secularism in the new constitution.
Educational institutions, markets and transport services have remained closed in the three districts due to the shutdown. RSS
